Typically, when you think of the term self-centered there is often a negative connotation associated with the term. My thought process behind the name was to turn a negative term into a positive one.
To me, being self-centered is not about being arrogant, egotistical, conceited, narcissistic, vain, proud, or boastful.
Being self-centered to me, when you're consciously making the effort to truly become the reflection you’d like to see in others. It’s about knowing who you are, having love, respect, and compassion for yourself. While also being willing to show the exact same love, respect, and compassion towards others.
Being self-centered is about holding yourself accountable for your life and your actions.
When you are truly self-centered, you know how and when to center yourself. Life is unpredictable and unpleasant circumstances often arise. When you have the full understanding, that you have no control of any negativity that may come your way. But you have complete control, of how you react and respond to the negativity. That’s when you’re completely self- centered. When you’re disciplined enough, to never allow any person or circumstance, to trigger you or get you out of character, NO MATTER THE SITUATION. That’s when you’re completely self-centered.
I encourage you today to BE the reflection you’d like to see in others!
